El ex jugador de críquet de Pakistán Moin Khan siente que Shaheen Afridi es muy popular entre los jugadores y debería ser el capitán del equipo T20I.
Former Pakistan cricketer Moin Khan slammed the ‘unjust’ removal of Shaheen Afridi as the captain and said that there was no one more suitable than the pacer to lead the side in white-ball formats. The pacer was replaced by Babar Azam as T20I skipper after just one series. Khan’s remarks come amid the ongoing debate over Babar Azam’s captaincy and talks of changing the skipper once again, following Pakistan’s debacle in ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup.
Moin Khan wants Shaheen Afridi as Pakistan skipper
“Shaheen Afridi has the ability to lead the team and is highly liked by the players. He is an excellent choice for captaincy in T20s. In white-ball cricket, I don’t see anyone else suitable for the role. Removing him from the captaincy was unjust.” MoinKhan said, as per Cricbuzz.

Afridi was replaced as Pakistan’s T20I skipper just before the T20 World Cup. The pacer had led the side in only one series – against New Zealand – before the PCB decided to hand the reins back to Babar Azam. Afridi-led Pakistan lost the series 4-1, prompting the PCB to bring back Babar as the skipper
The move drew a lot of flak, especially after Pakistan were knocked out of the T20 WC in the group stage. Their embarrassing campaign included a loss to the USA cricket team as well. With the T20 WC done, Pakistan is once again staring at a captaincy change. Babar Azam’s fate will be decided by the board, selectors and coaches soon.
