10 Everybody Still Hates Chris
11:15am – 12:15pm
Everybody Hates Chris was one of the most celebrated comedies of the mid-2000s, and for good reason. Chronicling comedian Chris Rock’s experiences as a kid growing up in Brooklyn in the late 80s, and narrated by Rock himself, the multi-network series ran for four seasons. Other than fueling Chris Rock’s own career, the series helped popularize names like Terry Crews and Tyler James Williams.
Other than fueling Chris Rock’s own career, the series helped popularize names like Terry Crews and Tyler James Williams.
Now, like many other late-stage comedy series reboots, audiences will be returning to the Rock family after 15 years thanks to the upcoming animated sitcom Everybody Still Hates Chris. At San Diego Comic Con, the series’ star-studded voice cast, a mix of both new and returning actors, will provide some animated discussion over a sneak peek of the series. Returning fans won’t want to miss this celebration of the reboot in the San Diego Convention Center’s Indigo Ballroom.
9 Marvel Studios
6:00 – 7:00pm
For all that can be said about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the franchise still manages to garner loads of excitement even so late into its cinematic life. Ever since 2008’s Iron Man, the MCU’s impressive list of films has managed to captivate both hardcore fans of Marvel Comics and unsuspecting general audiences alike. The series’ success is thanks in no small part to the efforts of Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, who will be making an appearance at San Diego Comic Con.
As of the time of writing, details are sparse as to what Feige and any other of the panel’s unannounced special guests will actually be discussing during their allotted hour in the famous Hall H. In all likelihood, the topic of conversation will revolve around the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming slate of films in the latter half of 2024 and 2025. The panel will be almost mandatory viewing for the MCU’s hoards of loyal fans.
8 The Star Trek Universe
1:45 – 3:15pm
A fan-favorite recurring panel of San Diego Comic Con, The Star Trek Universe is once again among the most hotly anticipated panels of the entire weekend. Other big names expected to show include Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jack Quaid, Alex Kurtzman, Omari Hardwick, Sam Richardson, and many more. It’s safe to say that The Star Trek Universe will be one of the most packed events of Hall H.

7 Superman & Lois Special Video Presentation and Q&A
11:15am – 12:15pm
The CW’s enduring Arrowverse is the single most enduring live-action adaptation of DC Comics, but seems to be finally coming to an end with the final season fourth season of Superman & Lois. While the series may be only tangentially related to the Arrowverse, it’s still a bittersweet goodbye to the last vestiges of the historic shared TV universe. Either way, San Diego Comic Con will be featuring a panel giving a final first look at an upcoming season of Superman & Lois.
Among the attendees of the panel are executive producers Greg Berlanti, Todd Helbing, Brent Fletcher, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns.

6 Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches
5:00 – 6:15pm
A powerful double-header, this panel will see the return of the one and only Anne Rice’s intriguing world of immortal bloodsuckers. Iterating off of The Vampire Chronicles book series by Anne Rice, Interview with the Vampire has amassed an impressive cult following over just two seasons. The show will enjoy a panel discussing the hotly-anticipated third season as well as the bombshell drops of the most recent series, hosted by Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe.
Immediately following will be a panel centered around the nascent horror series Mayfair Witches. Also based on an Anne Rice novel, The Lives of Mayfair Witches, the series will celebrate its upcoming second season with a panel in Ballroom 20. Featured will be showrunner Esta Spalding alongside the Mayfair Witches cast, including Alexandra Daddario, who is playing series protagonist Rowan Mayfair.
5 Futurama
11:00 – 11:45am
Even though Futurama has been canceled so many times, the irreverent comedic take on a classic sci-fi future from visionary cartoonist Matt Groening has always had the fan demand to revive from the dead time and time again. Once again, the crew of Planet Express will be back on the small screen courtesy of Hulu, with an all-new season premiering July 29th. Just days before the season premiere, San Diego Comic Con will be offering a sneak preview in the San Diego Convention Center’s Ballroom 20.
Joining the limited dose of Futurama‘s new season will be producers David X. Cohen, Claudia Katz, and none other than Matt Groening himself. In addition, the returning voice cast, including John DiMaggio, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, David Herman, Maurice LaMarche and Billy West will all be getting the old band back together for the world premiere of the newest Futurama gags and goofs. The hype for this particular panel proves why the series has been able to come back from development limbo so many times.

Futurama isn’t the only Matt Groening creation to be getting a valuable bit of spotlight at San Diego Comic Con. After a whopping 35 seasons, The Simpsons is still going strong. Though they’ve found a new home on streaming after the Disney-Fox merger, one of the most irreverent animated sitcom families have proven their enduring appeal in recent years. But it’s a particular aspect of The Simpsons that will be focused on at this year’s panel in the San Diego Convention Center’s Ballroom 20, right after Futurama.
The Treehouse of Horror miniseries embedded within The Simpsons has been a running Halloween tradition. Every year, the normal continuity and format of the series is broken in order to focus on an anthology of horror-themed vignettes, typically parodying other famous movies or shows in the genre. Panelists Matt Groening, Matt Selman, Rob LaZebnik, Tim Bailey, and Kevin Smith will tease that latest Treehouse of Horror 35 with original art, drawings for prizes, and more ghoulish surprises.
3 Critical Role: Fireside Chat and Cast Q&A
3:00 – 3:45pm
Critical Role is the world’s premier stream of Dungeons & Dragons, promoting the world’s greatest tabletop roleplaying game with a series of long-running sessions streamed live to an audience of adoring fans. The series has since capitalized on its popularity with a series of game supplements and even an animated show, The Legend of Vox Machina, which aims to release its third season soon. While the highly-anticipated panel won’t seem to be directly discussing such topics, there’s still a lot of excitement to be had for Critical Role fans.
Sure enough, the “Fireside Chat” and Q and A will promise an intimate space for die-hard fans of the series, or “Critters”, to share their burning questions, and hopefully get some answers. In attendance will be Critical Role founders and prominent voice actors, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Ashley Johnson, Talesin Jaffe, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and Liam O’Brien. In the moderator’s seat will be Krystina Arielle, adored host of Star Wars: The High Republic Show.
2 The Penguin
4:45 – 5:45pm
While possible ideas for spin-offs of Matt Reeves’ amazing The Batman had almost infinite possibilities, few fans were expecting the announcement of a streaming prequel series focused on Colin Farrell’s Penguin. But HBO’s original The Penguin will provide just that, set to premier in September of 2024. The project promises a epic crime thriller of the same caliber as The Batman, providing more context for the standalone DC adaptation’s Gotham City.
Hall H of the Sand Diego Convention Center is set to exhibit a panel featuring some important names for the series. Panelists will include executive producers Lauren LeFranc, Dylan Clark, and Matt Reeves himself, as well as cast members Cristin Milioti and Rhenzy Feliz. Collin Farrell will also be joining the event, albeit virtually, helping to usher in a new age of Gotham City villain storytelling.
1 Batman: Caped Crusader
2:45 – 3:45pm
The Penguin won’t be the only Batman property to look forward to this San Diego Comic Con. The recently-teased animated series Batman: Caped Crusader promises a grittier Batman, taking place in a pulpy period universe that pays homage to Batman’s original roots as a comic character of the late 1930s and early 1940s. Once again, Matt Reeves is set to produce the Dark Knight’s latest project, hosting a panel in the San Diego Convention Center’s room 6BCF.
Also among the panel’s attendees will be cast members Hamish Linklater, Jamie Chung, and Minnie Driver, who will join Comic Con attendees for a screening of the highly-anticipated new show. Notably, the series will be produced by Bruce Timm, famous for his work on the critically-acclaimed cartoon of the 90s, Batman: The Animated Series. If Batman: Caped Crusader can capture even a fragment of its predecessors’ popularity, it’ll make the hype at San Diego Comic Con more than justified.
