Australia anuncia un equipo de 15 miembros para la Copa Mundial Femenina T20 de la ICC. ¡Alyssa Healy está lista para liderar la carga de los seis veces campeones!
Alyssa Healy will be back in action once again. Healy as usual will be captaining the Australia women’s cricket Team in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Following Meg Lanning’s retirement, Healy will be leading the charge for the Women in Yellow as Australia announce their 15 member squad for the upcoming tournament.
The 6-time champions have presented a strong and well balanced side for the tournament. Following Meg Lanning’s retirement, Healy has been appointed as the new captain while Tahlia McGrath is the new vice-captain.
Phoebe Litchfield is a dynamic batter and is expected to partner either Ash Gardner or Healy as the second opener. Apart from Litchifield there are two other players who have the cut from last time. These include Tayla Vlaeminck and Sophie Molineux.
While Vlaeminck provides as extra option in seam bowling, Molineux on the other hand provides depth in spin bowling.
“This is the first time in a long time we’ve had our entire contract list available for selection ahead of a World Cup and it’s resulted in a really stable and balanced squad,” selector Shawn Flegler said.
“It’s the first time Alyssa Healy will have the reins at a World Cup and we’ve already seen what her and Tahlia McGrath bring from a leadership perspective, so it’s exciting for them to have this opportunity to lead their country on the biggest stage,” Flegler concluded.
