Nagal has a promising first-round match at Flushing Meadows, where he will go up against Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands, currently ranked 40th in the world. The match was supposed to take place at 1:00 AM initially, but now it has shifted to 2 AM.
The 27-year-old, Nagal is one of India’s hopes in the singles competition. He is the first Indian male tennis player since 2019 to participate in the singles events of all four Grand Slam tournaments in one year.
