El metro de París no es accesible para personas discapacitadas, lo que genera preocupación antes de los Juegos Paralímpicos

En vísperas de los Juegos Paralímpicos de París que comenzarán el 28 de agosto, el director del metro de la ciudad afirmó que el sistema no es accesible para personas con discapacidad.

The metro system in Paris has come under fire for not being disabled friendly ahead of the Paris Paralympics. The head of the regional transport network admitted that the system was impossible for people with disabilities and called for efforts to fix the issue. The Paralympics will commence from August 28 and will go on till September 8.

Paris metro unfriendly for Paralympians

Only 29 out of 300 stations are wheelchair accessible. The head of the regional transport Valerie Pecresse revealed that the city’s metro lines still remain as the weak spot in terms of accessibility. She called for massive efforts to fix the issue. She added that it would take at least 20 years to modernise the metro in terms of accessibility.
