USA bowler claims team can beat Pakistan again
In a video posted on social media platform X by a Pakistan journalist, Ali Khan claims that USA is capable enough of beating Pakistan once again. He said that they had a very good side currently and that they could beat any team once they have a full-strength team. He added that it would be a great game if they get a rematch against Pakistan.
When USA edged out Pakistan in Super Over thriller
USA won the toss and decided to bowl first in Pakistan’s opening game of the T20 World Cup. Decent knocks from Babar Azam and Shadab Khan powered Pakistan to a 159-run total at the end of 20 overs. In reply, USA got off to a bright start with skipper Monank Patel’s 50 and Andries Gous’s 35 taking them closer to the target. However, Pakistan pacers Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Amir managed to put the breaks on USA’s innings.
Despite the efforts of the Pakistan pacers, Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar managed to level the scores in the last over. The game then headed into a Super Over.
In the Super Over, Aaron James struck 11 off 6 balls while Mohammed Amir bowled a number of wide deliveries as USA reached a score of 18 runs. Saurabh Netravalkar bowled a fantastic super over for USA to ensure Iftikhar Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman and Shadab Khan reached nowhere close to the target as USA won by 5 runs.
