Jay Shah del BCCI brinda garantías de seguridad a Bangladesh en medio de amenaza de protesta en la serie IND vs BAN

La siguiente serie de India vs Bangladesh tuvo amenaza de protesta.

Given the ongoing protest threats that are being circulated throughout the majority of India, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, Faruque Ahmed, has expressed confidence in the security arrangements for the Bangladesh cricket team’s upcoming tour of India. This is due to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah. Following concerns raised by a group in India, the BCB sought reassurance from the BCCI.

Jay Shah assures BCB!

Ahmed revealed that BCCI secretary Jay Shah had provided explicit guarantees regarding the safety and well-being of the Bangladeshi players and team officials. Despite the initial opposition from a political party, which threatened protests against the team in Kanpur, the BCB remains committed to the tour.

I have talked to Jay Shah and he has given us the assurance regarding security,” Faruque told reporters after a meeting with the national team players at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Jay Shah’s assurances have alleviated any concerns the BCB may have had, and the team is now focused on preparing for the upcoming series against India. The two-match Test series is scheduled to begin on September 19 in Chennai. The major topic of the issue has been at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The second Test will begin from September 27.

“Match isn’t going anywhere,” tells BCCI official

On a similar note, a BCCI official recently also calmed the situation down and asserted that any threats won’t compromise the cricketing action. He even confirmed that the match will be held in Kanpur only.

Yes, we are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the concerned authorities,“ a senior BCCI official told India Today. “We have taken all necessary measures to ensure the match goes ahead as scheduled and the stadium is fully prepared to host both teams. The match is not going anywhere. It will be held in Kanpur. However, we will continue to keep an eye on developments, both in Kanpur and at the other venues.”
