Khawaja lauds ‘Cricketing Brain’ of Ravi Ashwin

He is very strategic, he always has a plan. He always tries to figure it out. He is trying to get ahead of the game, one step ahead of the game, which I respect. I respect his cricketing brain. It’s always cool to play against, yeah I look forward to the challenge,” Khawaja said.

Ashwin stands on the pedestal in the ICC Test Bowler’s rankings ahead of Josh Hazlewood and Jasprit Bumrah. And Australia will continue to worry about the treat that Ashwin possesses. In Australia, albeit pitches will favour pace and bounce, but Ashwin comes in very handy with his variety of spin bowling actions coupled with his ability to play big shots with the bat.
