Rohit Sharma was seen practicing the reverse sweep in the nets at the team’s preparatory camp in Chennai. The Indian skipper is wary of the threat posed by Bangladesh spinners, especially on the sub-continental surfaces. While the pull shot remains his favourite and go-to shot, Rohit is honing his reverse sweep skills in order to take the Bangladesh bowlers by surprise.

Rohit Sharma’s last Test came in March against England following which there was a long break from red-ball cricket. While the rest of the members of India squad were a part of the opening round matches of the Duleep Trophy, Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah were exempted from participating in the tournament.

During his time off, Rohit Sharma was seen hitting the gym to work on his fitness ahead of the upcoming Test season. He was also seen working on his batting technique with assistant coach Abhishek Nayar in Mumbai. The IND vs BAN series will kick-start from September 19 onwards.
