La danesa Kaneria criticó a Mohammad Rizwan por su comportamiento imprudente durante el empate IND vs PAK en la Copa del Mundo T20 en Nueva York.
Former Pakistan cricket team spinner Danish Kaneria launched a scathing attack on Mohammad Rizwan over his performance against India in the T20 World Cup. The ex-Pakistan star claimed that the keeper-batter never scored runs when it mattered the most. India emerged victorious over Pakistan in the low-scoring game at the Nassau County stadium in New York earlier in June. Despite months passing by since Pakistan’s loss, the country’s cricketers are yet to recover from the hangover and seemed to be stuck in the same loop as always.
Kaneria slams Rizwan’s flop show at IND vs PAK T20 WC tie
As per Cricket Pakistan, Kaneria took a jibe at Rizwan for throwing away his wicket with a poor shot selection, that too against Jasprit Bumrah. When asked to pick between Rizwan and Rishabh Pant, the former cricketer chose the latter without hesitating for a moment. Additionally, he pointed out that Rizwan never bothered to score against Axar Patel but fancied taking on premium pacer Bumrah which cost him his wicket.
“Rizwan doesn’t score runs when it matters, that’s the only problem. In the T20 World Cup, when Rizwan was on strike, Rohit Sharma deliberately brought in Jasprit Bumrah into the attack because he knew that he would get him out. It was very obvious,” Kaneria said.

In the game against India at New York, Rizwan exhibted all but T20 skills, putting his partner at the other end at pressure with his slow-paced knock. The keeper-batter only managed to score 31 runs off 44 deliveries, delaing in singles and doubles when the side needed boundaries. Rizwan valiantly attempted a sweep shot against a fiery Bumrah, only to find his stump uprooted.
