He achieved it by deceiving Hasan Mahmud of Bangladesh during the first Test at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Before arriving in Chennai, Bumrah was at 397 wickets, but within minutes of bowling in the first innings, he first dismissed Shadman Islam, clearing his stumps.
Then, the Bangladesh legend Mushfiqur Rahim fell into his trap, and the 400th wicket came when he removed Hasan Mahmud. Now it’s important to mention that he is the fifth quickest Indian to take 400 wickets, achieving this in 227 matches.
