It’s well known that Pujara is one batter you wouldn’t pick for the T20 format. However, RCB still chose him and bought him for Rs. 3.22 crore. The result was as expected—he struggled, playing 14 matches for the franchise over three years, scoring 143 runs at an average of 14.3 and a strike rate of just 94.07.
Kyle Jamieson
Kyle Jamieson was another poor pick by RCB. The franchise spent Rs. 15 crore on him in the IPL 2021 auction, but his performance was disappointing, with just 9 wickets and 65 runs in 9 matches.
Alzarri Joseph
Picking Alzarri Joseph was a good decision at the auction table as he was an emerging pacer. However, spending 11.5 crore on him was an overpayment. Moreover, he played only three matches in the season, taking just one wicket with an expensive economy rate of 11.9.
