The retention rules have been released for Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) and rumours have started to circulate over the transfer of players. India Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma is one such example. The former Mumbai Indians captain is now set to end his stay with MI and join Lucknow Super Giants for IPL 2025 as per reports.

Rohit Sharma has been the captain of Mumbai Indians for a long time, till last season. Hardik Pandya switched back to MI from Gujarat Titans after a 2 year stay and was made the captain of the side amidst to the dislike of the fans.
