Micah has never been this emotionally invested in a relationship. He is willing to do things for Veronica that he wouldn’t do for anyone else. She’s someone that fans are attacking, but the truth is that Veronica’s quite an impressive woman. There’s a reason why Micah is going to these lengths – it’s because he thinks Veronica is worth it.
Veronica’s a realtor who sells high-end properties in Boca Raton, Florida – she has a college degree, and she’s very good at her job. She isn’t the typical clout chasing reality TV partner. In fact, dating Micah is more likely to hurt her career than improve it.

The perils of reality fame don’t seem to have really affected him yet, but if his relationship fails because it’s so exposed, that may change.
Kim gives harebrained advice to her children. In the past, she was so single-minded in terms of pushing her restrictive lifestyle on her children. She sequestered her gaggle of blond kids on a Cairo, Georgia farm, sealing them off from humanity. All the fun things that brighten a day, such as yummy treats, TV and the Internet were banned. She home-schooled them. Christian Fundamentalist-style, to make sure that they absorbed all of her wisdom. But is Kim really so wise?
Kim’s a troubled woman who escaped from the pressures of modern life – she took her kids with her. Back in the day, she partied at college, going way too far. That’s very common but the partying didn’t seem to make Kim happy. In fact, it was like there was a void that only religion could fill. This left her quite vulnerable to cult-like thinking. Barry shared her beliefs, and those teachings were forced on the children – some handled it better than others. For example, Moriah rebelled, while Lydia Plath obeyed.
Kim left Barry because their life was so unromantic – they didn’t communicate. Now, she wants her son to commit to someone for life. Her advice may make Micah think twice about doing that.
When Kim pushes Ethan to marry, she’s probably planting a seed of doubt. Taking advice from the kooky woman who opened a dance studio that was quickly shuttered, got involved with her son’s flight instructor, and lives on a houseboat is not a smart strategy. Micah definitely has the raw materials to be a model. He has a look that sells. It’s not hard to picture Micah in ads for toothpaste, McDonald’s…whatever. It’s harder to picture him doing high-fashion editorial work, but really, he probably could. He’s someone who would likely have gotten hired as a model even if he wasn’t on reality TV. Since Micah was getting work in Los Angeles, and really modeling, rather than just trying to, he actually gave up quite an interesting career for her sake. Micah is very serious about Veronica, even though some fans don’t like it. Most people don’t give up their jobs for partners. That’s quite extreme. However, maybe he’s given up too much. Modeling was something he could do for years – he’s only 23 – yes, it’s easy to age out of being a model, but times have changed a bit. Many models have longer careers.
One scenario is that Micah got tired of modeling and tired of Los Angeles. Maybe his lifestyle was too superficial and too far from what he experienced during his upbringing. With Veronica, who has an established career that’s safer than modeling, he may feel a sense of security.
The other scenario is a little more troublesome. Maybe Veronica doesn’t want Micah to model, as he’ll be shirtless in photos, pose with gorgeous women and so on. That might be one reason why he’s transitioning out of modeling. Maybe he wants to assure her that he’s not interested in anyone else, or courting the attention of females. Veronica probably looks fantastic without makeup. It’s not going to be that different. A person’s features are their features – usually, makeup won’t change things that much. The real problem here is that fans are picking Veronica apart all over the Internet.
