Cyberpunk 2077: All Free Car and Vehicle Locations

Cyberpunk 2077 lets players take a joyride through Night City in many different vehicles that range from scrapped-together dune buggies to Bugatti Veyron-lookalikes. While Cyberpunk‘s world is better explored on-foot because of its many interiors and hidden Easter eggs, weaving through Night City’s densely packed roadways in different rides can still be incredibly satisfying. Many of these vehicles are expensive, but there are plenty of free vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077.

Much like the Grand Theft Auto series, V can steal any vehicle in Cyberpunk, so long as they have a high enough Technical Ability attribute. V will also get offers to buy all sorts of cars during the game’s campaign, but trying to purchase all of them will cost them well over one million Eddies. Luckily, you have plenty of chances to score free, permanent rides throughout Cyberpunk 2077.

Stolen vehicles
cannot be stored in V’s garage
, so you won’t have any opportunities to summon a car or bike you picked up illegally using V’s phone.

The Starter Car: Hella EC-D I360

Start With A Solid Ride

Gamers will receive their first free ride almost immediately after the first few main story missions. The Hella isn’t anything special, but it’ll get V where they need to go early in Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, an accident will temporarily total V’s first car at the start of Act 2, and players will need to wait for it to get repaired.

Once players get access to their first car, they can summon it at any point on the map, much like how GTA Online players request their personal vehicles. However, it is worth pointing out that summoning a vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 does not work for stolen vehicles. Instead, these cars are tucked away in your personal garage, which you can access at any time.

The Starter Cycle: Jackie’s Nazare Arch

Sleek Inheritance

jackie's arch cyberpunk 2077

V will also inherit Jackie Welles’ motorcycle at the start of Act 2 through the quest “Heroes.” There are a few ways this mission can play out, but regardless of the choices players make, they’ll end up with a bike to call their own. You can also get the Tuned version of this vehicle if you choose the Nomad Lifepath for V at the start of the game.

If you
have six Technical Attributes
as well, you will get a special dialogue option during
“The Pickup”
main mission that convinces Jackie to update the bike before they give it to you at the end of
“Heroes.”

Brennan Apollo Scorpion Motorcycle

Gain Another Quest Reward Bike

Cyberpunk 2077 Free Cars Apollo Scorpion

V can pick up another free bike by completing the main story quest “Life During Wartime,” which sends players on a daring mission with the supporting character Panam Palmer. Much like Jackie’s Arch, this is a guaranteed free vehicle, so there’s no need to worry about missing out on it.

This bike belonged once to Scorpion, a member of the Aldecaldos Nomad clan where you can meet characters like Panam. Simply find this group as you explore the outskirts of Night City to start the missions tied to getting this vehicle for free.

Delamain No. 21: The Fancy Cab

The Smoothest Taxi You’ll Ever See

This posh cab can only be acquired after V completes all seven “Epistrophy” missions in Cyberpunk 2077, which require players to track down seven Delamain taxis that have gone rogue.

Taxi Location

Description

Heywood / The Glen

This cab can be found near the edge of a roadway in The Glen. Listen and side with the A.I. for it to return to service.

Heywood / Wellsprings

Scanning this cab will cause it to threaten the player, simply damage it and it will give up.

Westbrook / North Oak

The Westbrook cab will be driving around and V will have to scan it, speak with it, and drive it back to the garage.

Santo Domingo / Rancho Coronado

This cab is out of control and V must help its rampage by destroying flamingos around the area.

Pacifica / Coastview

The Coastview cab will taunt the player and eventually lead V into an ambush. Defeat the group and the cab will yield.

Watson / Northside

This cab is hidden in the alleyways of an orange warehouse, find it and it will take off running. Follow the cab, where it will eventually crash and allow V to send it back.

The Badlands

This cab can be found in the middle of the landfill, get in and speak with the cab and exit when instructed.

After V finds all the lost cabs, they can return to Delamain HQ and be given the “Don’t Lose Your Mind” mission, which will reward them with the free car upon the quest’s completion.

The Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo

Luxurious Lifestyle

One of the few real-life car models in Cyberpunk 2077 is up for grabs during the “Chippin’ In” mission, where V goes on a misadventure with Johnny Silverhand. At one point in the quest, players will need to decide if they want to kill or spare a character named Grayson.

For those having a hard time finding the exact location of every free vehicle in the game, check out the video below by YouTube creator
HandsomeTez
for some more detail!

Anyone who wants to drive away in a brand-new Porsche in Cyberpunk 2077 will need to let Grayson live by selecting the following dialogue option: “[Put weapon away] Got lucky today.” Only by choosing mercy during the mission will you be rewarded with a free car, so make sure Grayson doesn’t die in any way.

Claire’s Truck: The Thornton Mackinaw Beast

One Of Several Monstrous Trucks

The Beast vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077

Much like the Porsche, obtaining this absolute unit requires players to make certain dialogue choices. During the “The Beast In Me” side-job that becomes available after the “Double Life” main mission, V will receive a call from Claire – a bartender from Afterlife – who will introduce them to Night City’s underground racing scene.

Claire wants to take revenge on the city’s top street racer, Sampson, for several reasons tied to her backstory. If you let Claire kill Sampson near the end of the mission, Claire will reward V with her unique truck. This vehicle lives up to its name, with an incredibly strong exterior that makes it perfect for dodging Night City’s authorities as you try to get out of trouble.

The Quadra Type-66 “Cthulhu”

Skip The Market

Alternatively, if you choose to let Sampson live, he’ll give V a call after the “The Beast In Me” mission is complete and offer them this blacked-out ride, free of charge. The Cthulhu would still be available for 76,000 eddies if you kill Sampson, but the Mackinaw Beast won’t be since it’s a unique vehicle.

So, those looking to collect every unique vehicle in the game should still choose to kill Sampson every time. That way, they can acquire the Mackinaw Beast from Claire and still buy the Cthulhu down the line with hard-earned money gained from completing other missions or side quests.

Easy Pickins’: Thorton Colby Butte CX410 “Grand Butte”

Grab And Go

Cyberpunk 2077 Colby CX410 Butte

You can find this modded pick-up sitting in the middle of an abandoned movie set on the outskirts of Night City. The Desert Film Set area on your map hosts this car, near Rocky Ridge and Jeff’s Dirt Track. Getting close enough to this area will trigger the “Dressed To Kill” side quest, which you can complete to earn the car for free.

Alternatively, all V needs to do is take the wheel, and this vehicle will be permanently stored in their garage. You typically see a green version of this car, but the one you get from the film set is a bright orange, differing greatly from the models you would only see on the market.

The Quadra Type-66 640 TS

Complete Every Gig From Dino

Cyberpunk 2077 the Quadra Type-66 640 TS Free Car

Throughout your adventures in Night City, you will likely be given Gigs, or side missions, as optional goals to complete. Finish all the side quests and gigs given by Dino Dinovic, then you will be able to start the special “Gas Gas Gas” quest. Completing this final mission for Dino will reward you with this car for free as a rare green variant of a typical Type-66 model vehicle.

The Archer Quartz “Bandit”

Loyalty Is Rewarded

Cyberpunk 2077 Archer Quartz "Bandit" Free Car from Mission Choices

Going through the “Ghost Town” mission without helping Panam impresses the NPC Rogue, who will give you a call and compliment you for staying loyal during the quest. This admiration extends into a sleek and orange car that sports some of the fastest speeds of any vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077.

The Archer Quartz
“Bandit”
is a part of a free DLC added to the game as of the 1.3 patch. This free vehicle can be purchased on sale even if you help Panam if you establish a relationship with Badlands Fixer Datoka Smith.

The Rayfield Caliburn “Murkmobile”

The Perfect Car For An Action Hero

The Rayfield Caliburn in Cyberpunk 2077

This Cyberpunk 2077 Batmobile-impersonator car would normally set players back more than 150,000 eddies, but it’s available for free in The Badlands. It can be looted after V completes the quest “Ghost Town” with Panam and attacks the desert hideout of the Raffen Shiv gang. The vehicle is found inside a shipping container in the gang’s mineshaft headquarters, just north of the Sunset Motel.

You cannot take this car until you have at least Level 40 Street Cred. As you approach the location of this car, you will unintentionally start the quest “Murk Man” as you discover more within the container this vehicle sits in. While more rewards are waiting for that quest’s completion, all you need to do is get in this car to add it to your garage.

The Six-Wheeled Villefort Alvarado “Vato”

Decide The Price Of A Ride With Your Fists

Cyberpunk 2077 All Free Alvarado Vato

To earn this six-wheeled ride, players will need to head to Heywood and complete the “Beat on the Brat: The Glen” quest by defeating El Cesar in a fighting match. V’s opponent will wager the vehicle, and V needs to match that with 4,000 eddies, so trying to earn this car can cost players if they lose. But once El Cesar is defeated, he’ll offer to give V his ride, as well as their money back.

If you are struggling to fight El Cesar without a fist-fighting character build, make sure to accept this fight only when you are at an appropriate level.

The Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech

Become The Recognizable Cyberpunk

Cyberpunk 2077 V car city skyline

This is the vehicle V is riding around in during Cyberpunk 2077‘s trailers and ads, and you’ll need to play the waiting game before you’re eligible to earn it. The quest for the Quadra only becomes available three in-game days after the completion of the “Life’s Work” Gig, found in Heywood. V will receive a call that gives them the “Sex on Wheels” gig, which will reward the sports car once finished.

The Nomad’s Thornton Galena GA40XT “Rattler”

Built For The Wanderer

Cyberpunk 2077 Free Cars Thornton Galena

Unlike the rest of the free vehicles, this hatchback is only available to players who chose Cyberpunk 2077‘s Nomad Lifepath at the start of the game. V will receive a message for the “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” mission, leading them to recover the old car seen in the Nomad’s prologue sequence.

While you do get to drive this vehicle in the Nomad prologue, you don’t see it again until the aforementioned mission. Here, you’ll have to either threaten or pay off the new owner of the car to get it back or choose to give it up forever. Depending on your build for V, some options may be easier to pick in this confrontation.

The Thorton Mackinaw “Saguaro”

Treat For The Loyal Lapdog Of The Coyote

Cyberpunk 2077 Thorton Mackinaw "Saguaro" Free Vehicle

This heavily armored truck comes as a reward for completing the “Every Grain of Sand” quest, which concludes when you finish every side mission and gig provided by the NPC Dakota Smith, aka the “Mad Coyote” of the Badlands.

The Mizutani Shion “Coyote”

Red For Betrayal

Cyberpunk 2077 The Mizutani Shion "Coyote" Free Car

A red and silver version of the Mizutani Shion car can be obtained for free during the “With a Little Help from My Friends” side mission, where you can have V tell Saul about Panam’s plan. Pick the “Don’t wanna get involved.” dialogue prompt when Panam is talking to you about her proposed idea, then tell Saul about it to gain this car as a reward.

Doing the actions for this free vehicle will
lock you out of all side quests related to Panam
and likely one of the game’s possible endings.

The Rare Arch Nazare “Itsumade”

Track Down A Missing Pair Of Wheels

Cyberpunk 2077 Arch Nazare "Itsumade" Rare Motorcycle

This rare bike is found by completing a puzzle associated with the secret gig called “The Highwayman,” found in the Rancho Coronado area. You will need to walk behind the gun shop found in the southeastern part of the region. From there, V can pick up the quest and begin solving the riddle to track down a couple that went missing in the area.

Anyone who is having difficulty solving the puzzle can consult the folks over at the

Cyberpunk 2077
Reddit

for a detailed walkthrough.

Once you find the couple, they will reward you with this bike for the completion of the mission. Alternatively, you can just go to the locked garage in the Northside All Foods plant in the City to get the bike easily. At this garage, just input the code “0241” to unlock the area and take the bike for yourself without having to solve any riddles.

The Quartz Type-66 “Hoon”

Get Your First Mobile Arsenal

Cyberpunk 2077 Quartz Type-66 "Hoon" Free Vehicle from Update 2.0

Introduced as the first weaponized free vehicle you can get in Update 2.0 of Cyberpunk 2077, this vehicle is given to you for free when you head to the Waston area in the Northside section of Night City. Johnny will appear next to the car in a nearby warehouse, where you have to find the key to the locked car by scanning the area before it can be added to your garage.

The Tanishi T400

Start The Journey Of Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077 The Tanishi T400 Free Car from Phantom Liberty DLC

The first of four cars you can get for free in the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, this Jeep looking vehicle is given to you as V tackles story missions from the new story content. Reach the “Lucretia My Reflection” mission and find Solomon Reed, who gives you the car so that you can help him track down Songbird in the new area of Dogtown.

Notably, Reed only gives you the car if you have completed Gigs for him outside the DLC. Those who did not pursue any quests from this handler before starting Phantom Liberty will lose out on the chance to get this vehicle. Although this isn’t the most important choice in Cyberpunk 2077, anyone trying to collect every free car possible will want to make sure to clear at least one Gig before entering Dogtown.

Nazare ARCH “Malina Mobile”

Do Some Convincing

Cyberpunk 2077 Nazare ARCH "Malina Mobile" motorcycle

The only motorbike available in the Phantom Liberty DLC is the “Malina Mobile” variant for the Nazare ARCH cycle. You can get this vehicle for free during the “Dazed and Confused” side Gig offered to you within the DLC. Doing this mission involves you with a character named Lina Malina, who you make several choices surrounding that lead to several possible rewards, which include:

  • Unique Clothing Piece
  • “Baby Boomer” Baseball Hat
  • The “Malina Mobile” Motorcycle

To get the bike, you need to select the dialogue option “tell him he’s your sister” when talking to Malina during the side quest. Doing this will reward you with the bike when the mission finishes free of charge.

The Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante”

Make A Special Purchase

Cyberpunk 2077 Quadra Sport V-7 "Vigilante" car

The “Vigilante” is one of three variants of the Quadra Sport R-7 model of car that you can only get through the Phantom Liberty DLC. This vehicle is awarded to those who pre-ordered the expansion to the game. V can access this car when entering Act 2 of the base game, where you get a text that leads you to this sleek sedan as a seemingly random reward for your efforts.

Those who didn’t pre-order the DLC can still get this car through the Autofixer page, so don’t worry about losing out on this unique vehicle. This may cost some Eddies though, preventing many from getting the “Vigiliante” for free without meeting its main prerequisite.

The Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon”

Learn About How Dogtown Operates

Cyberpunk 2077 Quadra Sport R-7 "Charon" Free Car from Phantom Liberty DLC

While you do get to use this sleek vehicle during the “I’ve Seen That Face Before” main mission in the Phantom Liberty DLC, you won’t be able to have this car right away. Eavesdrop on the conversation between the people in this car when you first encounter it to unlock a secret quest called “Moving Heat. “

The NPC Ashley gives you this side gig, where V has to take out some enemies in a base located beneath the stadium in Dogtown. This car is waiting for you outside the Barghest facility, which you can get to easily by going to the EBM Petrochem Station fast travel area. Once you see the car, simply sneak toward it and jump inside it to add it to your collection.

The Quadra Sport R-7 “Sterling”

Do Every DLC Gig For The Right Person

Cyberpunk 2077 Quadra Sport R-7 "Sterling" Free Car from Phantom Liberty DLC

The final vehicle you can get for free comes from completing all 10 of Mr. Hand’s side Gigs across Dogtown in the Phantom Liberty DLC. These missions unlock as you progress through various missions in the DLC’s story in Cyberpunk 2077, with some only becoming available after you have at least 30 Street Cred. After you finish all these quests, Mr. Hands will invite you to the Heavy Hearts club to start the “Hi Ho Silver Lining” mission.

All you need to do here to gain the free car is to talk to Mr. Hands, then step outside the club in Cyberpunk 2077‘s Phantom Liberty DLC to find the vehicle’s location right next to V, ready to be used at any time.
