Approximately 250 players will be available for selection, as the Women’s Hockey India League will feature four teams. In the women’s auction, Udita Duhan, an Indian defender with over 100 caps, made headlines by becoming the highest-paid player with a remarkable bid of ₹32 lakh. She was bought by Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers.
