In a major embarrassment for the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), fans have raised complaints about the poor seating conditions during the opening day of the IND vs NZ 1st Test. Several photos circulating on social media show seats at Chinnaswamy Stadium covered in dust and bird droppings, despite spectators paying for their tickets to enjoy the match.

Ticket prices and fan turnout

The ticket prices for the Test reportedly range from ₹600 to ₹7,500, depending on the seating area chosen by the fans. Tickets are available at ₹600, ₹1,200, ₹2,000, ₹2,500, and ₹7,500. Although fans arrived in large numbers to watch their favourite players in action, the rain has unfortunately been a major disruptor.

A similar incident in Ranji

A similar situation occurred at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium during the Ranji Trophy match between Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), where many fans at the venue expressed dissatisfaction with the rough, almost road-like seating conditions.
