PV Sindhu quedó eliminado del Abierto de Dinamarca en los cuartos de final de los Juegos Olímpicos de París

El lanzador indio PV Sindhu perdió 13-21, 21-16, 9-21 ante Tunjung en los cuartos de final del Abierto de Dinamarca el viernes.

India’s shuttle ace PV Sindhu has crashed out of the Denmark Open in the quarterfinals of the tournament. Sindhu lost 13-21, 21-16 and 9-21 to Paris Olympics bronze medalist Tunjung. She attempted a valiant fight back to clinch the second set only to lose the third set in a lopsided fashion.

The first started off with both shuttlers going neck-to-neck in terms of taking the lead. It all started going downhill for Sindhu after the first five points as her opponent started to build on her lead. Eventually, the Indian was outclassed 13-21, losing the first set.

PV Sindhu bounced back strongly in the second set, taking an early lead. While Tunjung caught up with the shuttler shortly after, she was no match for Sindhu as the latter went on to bag five consecutive points towards the end to take the set 21-16.

In the third set, Tunjung took an unassailable lead right from the start. Sindhu was no match for her opponent as the latter bagged 12 consecutive points to clinch the set 21-9.
