House is so much more than the standard medical drama, and Hugh Laurie, as the titular character, is a brilliant and dry-humored fictional figure that many continue to adore. The show has received many Emmy nominations, and through streaming, it remains a hugely popular watch for many.House has left the door open for a possible return at some point in the future, with Gregory House riding off into the sunset after faking his own death in the show’s 2012 finale. Even Taub actor Peter Jacobson thinks a House revival could happen.

If Hugh Laurie can get on board, there’s a good chance that
House
could make a comeback.

This is a good time for it to be revived, especially because there are currently so many other medical shows airing right now, but House offers a unique and comedic angle that has never been executed in the same way anywhere else. Although House’s divisive finale doesn’t directly set up or imply a future revival, that doesn’t mean it isn’t achievable, and there are loads of ways that Gregory House could be pulled back in again.

Mad Men’s incredible finale highlights one of the best examples of character development in TV. After years of Don Draper’s womanizing ways and getting caught up in all manner of scrapes, the iconic character is put on a path of change. Although the last episode’s ending is rather ambiguous and leaves Draper’s story up to interpretation, this could work in Mad Men’s favor. Almost a decade after its end, many are curious to see whether Draper has truly grown and made himself a better person or if he has slipped back into his old ways.

Don Draper shockingly appears in Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, which takes many by surprise. While it is quite unusual for him to pop up here randomly, the response to Jon Hamm reprising his character suggests that there is an interest in a Mad Men revival. Draper is a staple figure of the 2000s and a notable personality from Hamm’s filmography, so it would be in the actor’s best interest to bring him back fully. Don Draper’s story has an intriguing climax, but it’s also one that could definitely be expanded upon.

Why Malcolm In The Middle Ended After Season 7 (Was It Canceled?)

Malcolm in the Middle was immensely popular for Fox in the earlier to mid-2000s, so why did the show come to an end after season 7?

Malcolm in the Middle’s Dewey actor Erik Per Sullivan no longer acts, and Malcolm’s Frankie Muniz, Francis’ Danny Masterson, and Reese’s Justin Berfield aren’t in the spotlight as much anymore, either. However, strange things happen in the world of TV, and if the four decide to step back in front of the camera, it makes sense that it’d be for Malcolm in the Middle. Audiences are desperate to know what kind of person Jamie becomes, as well as who the Wilkerson’s unborn sixth child is, too, and their stories alone are enough to warrant a revival.

Many are still mourning Pushing Daisies‘ untimely cancellation. Pushing Daises is a visually pleasing dark comedy TV show, and audiences are still frustrated that it still hasn’t returned. The show’s cancellation is, unfortunately, down to the 2008 writer’s strike, but Ned’s story has continued in the form of comics. Despite ending in 2009, Pushing Daisies is repeatedly brought up in discussions of revivals. In this day and age, there’s a lot of potential for the show to thrive, especially because it’s so ahead of its time.

It’d also be interesting to see how, if they are still together, Chuck and Ned’s relationship is going almost 15 years later.

The story-of-the-week format that focuses on Ned and Chuck’s investigations is a timeless concept and shows like iZombie prove that there is an audience interest in supernatural-style mysteries. Pushing Daisies’ ending can also be viewed as a beginning, too, and Chuck reuniting with her family is a great thing that the revival can offer some closure on. It’d also be interesting to see how, if they are still together, Chuck and Ned’s relationship is going almost 15 years later.

Bree is a state politician, Susan’s grandchild distracts her from her grief, Lynette is a CEO, and Gaby is a host on the Home Shopping Network.

Even though they are scattered across the country, these characters’ roots are still prominent parts of them. Mary Alice’s death is a gripping storyline through seasons 1 and 2, but even though the cause is eventually revealed, her presence never leaves Desperate Housewives. A Desperate Housewives revival would only make sense if it centered on the show’s original drama, especially as Mary Alice is connected to almost every season arc in some way or another. Although the show’s conclusion is satisfying, many want to see how the women’s lives change and if they ever feel drawn back to Wisteria Lane.

The My Name Is Earl cast has reunited recently, and the image of them at MegaCon has got many hoping that the show is going to return. My Name Is Earl’s conclusion from 2009 ends on a frustrating cliffhanger, in which the titular character discovers that he is Dodge’s biological father. The true parentage of Earl Jr. is also left unclear, and both of these storylines provide enough content to launch a possible revival of the show. My Name Is Earl is a comical show that sees Earl Hickey try to fix his karma, but he annoyingly never achieves this.

“It Would Be The Cherry On Top”: My Name is Earl Star Wants A Finale Revival (But Isn’t Hopeful)

Exclusive: Ethan Suplee reveals his thoughts on a My Name is Earl finale revival, expressing that while he is keen to make one, he isn’t hopeful.

The finale’s plot twist is enough to warrant a revival, but the fact Earl doesn’t truly sort himself out is a bonus. Although some members of the cast are keen to reprise their characters, there isn’t a lot of hope because of the show’s popularity at the time of airing. However, My Name Is Earl has garnered more attention in recent years and is now being appreciated for what it is. More obscure TV shows have been rebooted lately, and more are on the way, so My Name Is Earl’s revival shouldn’t be ruled out yet.

Audiences are still desperately calling out for Monk to return to screens. The amazing show is just as funny as it is complex, and Adrian Monk’s bizarre investigations are incredibly bingeworthy. The first scene in Monk’s pilot explains the show’s premise and messages immediately, and over 20 years since its debut, it’s a title that new viewers stumble across every day. Monk is a feel-good watch and easy to consume in one sitting, even though some parts haven’t aged as well as others. However, the recent Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Movie proves that there is demand for more Monk.

The film brings the characters back 12 years after Monk’s finale, and there are already murmurings of a Mr. Monk’s Last Case sequel. While another movie is great, a full revival of the TV show would be better. Audiences are intrigued to see Adrian Monk’s life as a consultant again, which Mr. Monk’s Last Case sets up perfectly. Multiple episodes of Monk that have the familiarity of the show’s original run but with a modern-day twist are likely to be a huge success, especially on streaming platforms like Peacock. Hopefully, Monk 2 will be a revival of the show instead.

Parks and Recreation’s finale is a fantastic example of a sitcom knowing how to wrap up stories correctly. The jump into the future for Leslie Knope and the Parks team is wholesome and endearing to watch, and overall, it’s a pretty perfect way to conclude their character arcs. Despite Parks and Recreation ’s well-written ending, the show is now in a position for a revival, and with good reason. Politics is always an important subject, but considering the current climate, the world needs Leslie more than ever.

However, the finale implies that either Ben or Leslie becomes President eventually, and it would be amazing to see their fight to make the United States a better place.

A Parks and Recreation revival doesn’t necessarily need to be topical, but it definitely should reflect the world right now.Rashida Jones’ response to a Parks and Recreation return follows a similar narrative, and the actress agrees that the show’s revival should only happen for a good reason. However, the finale implies that either Ben or Leslie becomes President eventually, and it would be amazing to see their fight to make the United States a better place. Parks and Recreation’s future timelines have gaps that a revival can fill in, especially for Leslie and Ben.

1 Firefly

September 20, 2002

Streaming Service(s)
Hulu , Disney+

David Newman, Serenity’s composer, thinks Firefly would’ve worked better on streaming, and he’s not wrong.Firefly’s run only lasted for 14 episodes before it was tragically cut short, although Joss Whedon’s space drama did return for the 2005 movie Serenity. Since its cancelation, Firefly has gained a cult following worldwide and developed into a multi-media franchise. However, Newman’s comments make a lot of sense, and the progression of streaming-era television and the science fiction genre has been astronomical since the show’s end in 2002.

Over two decades years later, Firefly is still widely discussed by sci-fi enthusiasts.Firefly is a title that will never stop being part of the revival conversation, especially because its potential was wasted. 14 episodes simply isn’t enough to delve into the world of Firefly and its characters. The Firefly cast are all prominent names in the industry, too, and it would make sense for them to take part in a revival because of the attention they would garner. It’s been 22 years since Firefly’s end, but more of the beloved 2000s TV show will forever be in demand.
