2025 might be the year of horror — whether a video game franchise adaptation, a horror movie starring Cillian Murphy, or a vampire period piece, the 2025 horror movie lineup has something for all tastes. 2025 comes hot with the continuation of Renny Harlin’s The Strangers trilogy, a Stephen King adaptation by Longlegs‘ director, the revival of the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise, as well as many new titles that offer a twist to their genre and promise a thrilling theatrical experience. Not only that, but next year brings seven Blumhouse productions, including the final installment of The Conjuring and M3GAN 2.0. With upcoming movie releases from hit studios like NEON, legacy sequels to fan-favorite franchises, and long-awaited classic monster adaptations, the 2025 horror movie slate is to scream for.
