Highest paid players before IPL 2025 Auction

Earlier. SRH had already confirmed retaining Klaasen for a huge sum of Rs 23 crore. As a result, he surpassed Virat Kohli’s previous Rs 17 crore deal that Royal Challengers Bengaluru paid to retain Virat Kohli back in 2017. The South African batter played some key knocks for SRH in the IPL 2024 season, amassing 479 runs across 16 matches at an impressive strike rate of 171.07.

Meanwhile, Kohli was handed a Rs 21 crore deal by RCB ahead of the upcoming IPL season. LSG’s Nicholas Pooran too was given a retention fee of Rs 21 crore.

Several players, including Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Rashid Khan, and Pat Cummins, were paid a total sum of Rs 18 crore for their services by their respective franchises.
