Athletics Federation of India (AFI) president Adille Sumariwalla, as reported by the Circle of Sport website, stated, “Bartonietz mentioned he had done his best and felt it was time for Neeraj to work with a new coach who could take his performance to the next level.” Neeraj has been training under top coaches. He trained with Bartonietz for more than five years. Since AFI hired him in 2019, Neeraj has won two Olympic medals, a World Championship title, and the Diamond League.
