Some names on Roblox make sense, like the adorable and successful My Hello Kitty Cafe and Gamefam’s well-made Sonic Speed Simulator, both of which are officially licensed games. Other brands appearing on Roblox are more surprising, offering experiences to the kids playing Roblox that introduce them to luxury clothing and cosmetic brands, potential future career choices, and even cars. Ironically, most of these games don’t catch on with the kids on Roblox, but their very existence as official company-sponsored experiences is certainly surprising.

Chipotle could have done anything with its virtual Roblox experience, but the company decided to go the realistic route. A trailer posted by Cirque du Soleil on YouTube shows off what the game has to offer. Circus Tycoon works like many other games of the tycoon genre on Roblox, allowing players to build their own circus big top from the ground up, managing the space, hiring performers, and playing minigames. The experience also does its best to bring some of the wonder of a real show to the virtual world through spectacular performances.


17 IKEA: The Co-Worker

IKEA’s experience on Roblox is called The Co-Worker and, as the name suggests, that’s exactly what it focuses on. Players are placed in a virtual IKEA store and shown “how careers are done differently at IKEA.” The game acts as a virtual preview of what working at a real IKEA would be like, having players help customers, prepare the showroom, cook and serve Swedish meatballs, decorate the set pieces, and manage a team of workers. All these tasks earn EXP and help players to level up and progress up the ranks through promotions.


When the game was first gearing up for launch in June 2024, the store even offered several paid positions within the virtual store (for players ages 18 and up). Unfortunately, even the promise of real cash wasn’t enough to draw a big audience. The game is currently sitting at a paltry 17K likes, a mere fraction of the 1M likes of 3008, the other (unofficial) IKEA-themed game on Roblox where players build bases and try to hide from the corrupted workers at a (legally distinct) “unusually large furniture store.

Roblox isn’t exactly known for its luxury brand awareness, but that didn’t stop Gucci from expanding its luxury brand footprint into the virtual children’s game platform.
