Sanjay Manjrekar critica a DRS por “mala entrega técnica” tras el controvertido despido de KL Rahul.

KL Rahul fue víctima de un despido del DRS el día 1 de la prueba de Perth

Former India Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was not at all happy with KL Rahul’s controversial dismissal. During lunch of the IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth he went out to vent his frustrations at DRS and the umpires. Manjrekar didn’t mince his words when he blasted DRS for the poor supply of technology.

It was a horrible sight to watch as the DRS witnessed only two frames before finding no conclusive evidence of the ball hitting the bat. In fact, later replays showed it was in fact the bat that hit the pads which showed a spike in the Snicko meter. Sanjay Manjrekar then went on to blast the broadcasters for the very limited frames that were given to the DRS.

“Disappointed with the frames that were provided. It was a poor supply of technology,” claimed Sanjay Manjrekar when lunch was called in on Day 1 of the Perth Test.

“I there was an edge between ball and bat then there must be 2 spikes on snikSnicko but there was only 1 or maybe the umpire didn’t check further,” Manjrekar added to vent out his frustration at the horrendous dismissal.

Controversy in IND vs AUS Perth Test

Day 1 of the opening Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy has been rocked by a major controversy. KL Rahul’s shocking dismissal has now made the headlines. This obnoxious dismissal went on to draw criticism from far and wide.

KL Rahul opened the innings for the visitors and looked the best batter among the lot. He traded carefully, leaving the good deliveries, and went on to trot at a well-knit innings of 26 runs from 74 deliveries. But then tragedy struck. KL went on to play a forward defensive shot against Mitchell Starc.

The ball breezed past the blade of the bat. The bat however hit KL’s pad. The DRS showed no conclusive evidence as just 2 incomplete frames were provided by the broadcaster to the third umpire. The Snicko however showed a spike, obvious from the bat hitting the pads. Without any proof, the decision couldn’t be turned back as KL Rahul had to walk back to the pavilion.
