Praveen Kumar, a high jump athlete from Uttar Pradesh, secured India’s 26th medal at the Paris Paralympics. He won the gold in the Men’s High Jump T64 event on Friday, finishing with his best attempt of 2.08 m. He also smashed the Asian record.
Second Paralympic medal for Praveen
This is Praveen Kumar’s second Paralympic medal. Earlier, at Tokyo 2020, he won a silver medal in the High Jump T64 event. Recently, at the Asian Para Games, he clinched the gold medal in the same event.
