PNSC Enhances Its Oil Tanker Fleet Capacity
Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PSX: PNSC) has expanded its managed fleet with the addition of a new Aframax-class oil tanker, named “MT Karachi.” The vessel, with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 109,990 tons, was acquired through PNSC’s subsidiary, Karachi Shipping (Private) Limited.
The development was formally disclosed through a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), in compliance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Rule Book. This announcement follows an earlier disclosure made on October 13, 2025.
This latest addition strengthens PNSC’s fleet in the oil transportation segment, enhancing its overall operational capacity and market position.
PNSC’s core operations include shipping services such as vessel chartering, cargo transportation, and related logistical support. The corporation also provides commercial, technical, administrative, and financial services to its subsidiaries and third parties within the shipping sector. Additionally, PNSC engages in property leasing activities, renting out its assets under lease agreements.
